ABOUT US

Learn more about the amazing team that makes Internexus possible every year

Internexus is a student-run anime convention that began in 2013, as the result of a collaborative effort between various high school anime clubs in and around Fremont. Each year, Internexus brings together local anime-lovers for an entire day of fun. It is currently organized and run by the officers of Japanime Club at Washington High School and American High School. Though the faces at the helm of Internexus have changed since its inception, its goal remains the same: to bring people that share interests together.

HOW DID INTERNEXUS COME TO BE?

Anime conventions held by Fremont anime clubs have been ongoing for many years. In 2013, the anime convention was formally branded as Internexus, and thus the current iteration of Internexus begins.

The first Internexus, Internexus 2013, was held at Irvington High School in collaboration with multiple anime clubs within the Fremont Unified School District.

From 2015-2017, Internexus Anime Convention was primarily made in collaboration between American High School's Japanese Anime Manga Club and Washington High School's Japanime Club.

In September 2017, it was announced that American High School's Japanese Anime Manga Club would be disbanded. As a result, Washington High School's Japanime Club took full control over Internexus's day-to-day operations.

In December 2018, Washington High School's Japanime Club partnered with the newly-established American High School Japanime Club to organize Internexus 2019.
